Dr Jaidan Mays

Jaidan firmly believes that “movement is life” and his aim is primarily that. With an interest in sport and being an active sportsman himself, has led him to seek a career in sports chiropractic. In 2016, Jaidan pursued further education in sports chiropractic and completed his internationally accredited ICCSP and reaccredited under the current ICSC. Jaidan was awarded Sports Chiropractor of the Year for 2016 and has been elected President of Chirosport SA for 2023 and is still passionate about being on the ground at multiple sporting events providing athletes with chiropractic care.

Fully immersing himself in multiple sports allows Jaidan to better understand the demands of the sport on the body and is able to treat conditions more effectively in this regard. Since 2014, Jaidan has worked countless powerlifting competitions ranging from provincial level all the way up to an international level. As an avid mountain biker, Jaidan jumped at the chance to be involved as the chef de mission for six editions of the prestigious Absa Cape Epic. One of Jaidan’s greatest experiences was his opportunity to work at the World Games held in Wroclaw, Poland in 2017 which gave him exposure to incredibly diverse and rare sports disciplines. In 2018, he went on to be selected to work at the Ironman World Champs held in P.E where he gained valuable insight into the triathlon world. With a change of pace in 2022, Jaidan worked at the Nedbank Golf Challenge where he worked as part of the medical team on the professional golfer circuit.

It is Jaidan’s belief that through accurate diagnosis, most conditions arising from neuromusculoskeletal or biomechanical origins can be managed to ensure that patients return to their sport and active lifestyles and so your goals indirectly become his.
